You Were Created To Succeed Part 1

Every man or woman has unlimited capacity to succeed in life. However, when we are born into this world, this capacity is in its raw and potential form. God has provided you with the capacity to be somebody in life; nevertheless, it is your responsibility to exploit the capacity and realize the enormous potential at your disposal. While he was speaking at thePLATFORM, the program organized by the Covenant Christian Center, Pastor Sam Adeyemi said “God will not do for you what he has given you the capacity to do.” God has given you the capacity to succeed, but He will not take the practical steps that are necessary for the realization of your potentials for you. You cannot abdicate your responsibility to God. He will not take up your responsibility where you need to act. This is where most people get it wrong. They continue to pray for breakthrough when God has already opened the door for them. They move from one church to another seeking breakthrough which they already possess instead of getting up and walking through the opened door to their breakthrough. Most people only want to pray their way to success rather than pray and work their way to success. You cannot substitute prayer for what you need to do and expect any positive result. Doing that means you are abdicating your role to God. And the end result of such attitude is failure.

Success Equation

The success equation is simply as follows:

(God’s Part) multiply by (Your Part)  =  Success

It is very certain that everybody on this planet wants to succeed. But you need to understand that in the success equation, there are two parties, God and you. God has His part to play and you have your own part too. In the Success Equation, you can never get the desired result if one of the factors is missing. Both the God’s factor and your own factor must be present to achieve desired result. However, one thing is certain; God does not fail to play His part. In fact God’s factor is a constant which is always present. God’s role is to give you the capacity to do what is needed to be done to succeed. While your role is to do what is needed to be done which He has given you the capacity to do. When all the parties involved in the equation performed their role the positive result – success is inevitable.  But what happens most of the time is that we expect God to play His part and also play our own part. Most people do not have the understanding of the fact that “God will never do for you what he has given you the capacity to do!” He will not read for you, He will not register the company for you, He will not learn the necessary skills for you, He will not come down and do your job well for you, and He will not be nice to your customers for you. You must do all these and many other things yourself. In the book of Matthew 9: 6 when Jesus healed the lame man, He told the lame man “Arise take up your bed and go to your house.” Here, Jesus restored the man’s ability to move, but after that every other actions leading to the manifestation of the miracle was performed by the man. Has it ever occur to you that the lame man wouldn’t have experience the miracle if he had refused to rise when Jesus asked him to do so?Secondly, Jesus told the lame man to carry his bed; He did not carry the bed for him. Many people are wallowing in poverty today because they do not have an understanding of the fact that they have a vital role to play to complete the success equation. When you fail to play your part in the equation the result is mediocrity.

Success Equation Obeys Multiplication Principle

One very important and interesting thing about success equation is that it obeys the principle of multiplication. In the principle of multiplication, if you multiply any factor by zero the result is always nothing. Any constant factor, no matter how big, multiplied by zero gives you zero. This concept describes what happens in most people’s lives. I said it earlier that God’s factor in the success equation is a constant. It is always there. What is always missing is man’s input. Hence, when you multiply the God’s factor with zero input from your part each time you fail to play your role, the result is zero and not success. This underscores the importance of your own input in the process of achieving success. Praying and waiting for God to perform miracle without playing your own role will lead to frustration and failure. However, when you are diligent in playing your part, success is inevitable and nothing can stop you. When you play your role, your input will be multiplied with God’s factor which is always present to produce outstanding result. This is the secret of successful people. They play their part of the success equation. If you also desire to be successful in life, start playing your part of the equation, God’s factor is always there for you to complete the equation. You have the capacity to become whatever you want to be in life. All you need to do is to set the goals for yourself and take practical steps in the right direction to achieve desired result. You were created to succeed. Just play your part and you will succeed. Thank you for reading.
